A thought on Zerubbabel, Ezra, Nehemiah & Esther

Zerubbabel
1. Called the Prince of Judah under his Persian name Sheshbazzar
2. His names means "born in Babylon or he who came out of Babylon"
3. He was the "master builder" of Israel
4. His purpose was to build a place where the presence of God could dwell among His people
5. He established the foundation... then built the temple

Ezra
1. His name means "Yahweh has Helped" "God is our helper"
2. He is known historically as the first scribe - The Word
3. He restored the law (fulfilled it in beautifying the temple)

Nehemiah
1. His name means "the one who comforts." He is the comforter.
2. His job was to rebuild the walls and gates - to seal the city where the presence of God would dwell.

Esther
1. The chosen bride
2. She received her position without favor or merit (required nothing)
3. She had two people in her life who opposed one another (Haman and Mordecai)
4. Her response to Mordecai resulted in the salvation of many

Now look at the order that the people showed up...

Zerubbabel, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther

Zerrubbabel and Ezra
Christ was made flesh (came from the world or Babylon with the purpose of restoring a place where God could dwell - our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost)
He did it by fulfilling the Law perfectly (Ezra - the Word)

Nehemiah
When the work of Zerubbabel and Ezra was completed, Nehemiah shows up to seal the city (The Comforter or Spirit has sealed us until the day of redemption)

Esther
When Nehemiah's work was finished we see Esther on the scene chosen by the king and implored by Mordecai to rescue the Jews! On Pentecost, the church was empowerd. The job of the Christian is to live after the spirit (Mordecai) not the flesh (Haman). The result will be the
salvation of souls.

And God put those four people in perfect order in Scripture! I love this BOOK! Amen!

When our mission efforts center on the work of Christ as our Foundation and Truth, the Holy Spirit empowers us to accomplish our purpose. When we respond to the leading of the Spirit and resist the flesh, a great multitude can be reached and saved from impending judgment!

Keep Jesus Christ preeminent in our ministries!

Extreme Team Youth Camp - Frankie Sheridan

Great news from North Dakota

We ended our 1st Annual "Extreme Team Youth Camp" on the 24th of August. Bro Jonathan Barker, Bro Jake Easter were our main preachers. I preached a couple of times. The Mullins family did the singing and so much more. The teens rode horses, wrestled and roped steers, barrel racing and horse relay racing as well as swimming and other games. The best thing though was what God did in the hearts of those young people. We targeted the teens of our area. I didn't invite any other Churches. 95% of the teens were lost and most had never been to Church before. They were kids we literally picked up on the streets. 13 of them got saved. 2 of the older boys went with me on visitation the day after camp ended. The altar was full each service. We had two each day. Not only did they get saved but God continued to work as the camp went on and many of the teens that were saved in the early part of the week made commitments to dedicate their life to the Lord. It was amazing. We are looking forward to camp next year. All the teens were able to come free thanks to the gifts of many of Gods people and several Churches.
